Keichousaurus Hui. Extinct reptile fossil. (Young Juvenile, Female)

Keichousaurus Hui was a small marine reptile that lived during the middle Triassic around 230 million years ago. Found mainly in Guizhou, China, it had a long slender flexible neck, compact body and paddle like limbs. It probably swam through shallow coastal waters and hunted small fish and aquatic animals. Male and females can be identified by the forearms with the males having larger more protruding characteristics in these limbs, evidence strongly suggests they gave birth to live young. This fossil came from a private collection here in the UK, Although small (young Juvenile) this fossil is complete and has some stunning detail. All the bones are in place with the exception of the hind feet slightly distorted, even the small pointy teeth are clearly seen. Completely authentic and genuine fossil which would look great in any collection.
