Cambropallas Telesto, Cambrian Trilobite.

Cambropallas Telesto (Andalusiana sp) was a medium to large Trilobite that lived on the sea beds during the middle Cambrian period c. 500 million years old. Location Djebel Ougnat, Morocco, N Africa. . Cambropallas is unfortunately one of the most faked Trilobites due to the hard rock where they are commonly found, this hard rock makes it easy to carve and reconstruct parts of the animal that was not present. This Trilobite has had some reconstruction, on the posterior, very marginal of about 2 percent. Most of these fossils rarely come out complete and we hope for above 90 percent. Extremely high detail on this fossil with clear and defined segments.

Trilobites were marine arthropods with 3 longitudinal lobes. They lived for nearly 300 years Fromm the Cambrian to the end of the Permian extinction. Fossil records show that they ranged hugely in size, some species only being a few mm to others growing to over a foot long. They lived on the sea floor filtering waste from the sea beds and scavenging remains. Trilobites are fascinating because they are one of the few species that have left behind the most incredibly detailed fossil remains.
